Hi friends! I just wanted to share a few photos from a photo shoot I did a few weeks ago with Olympic speed skating hopeful Khyl Orser! We froze out butts off (mostly him due to the spandex situation) but the outcome was really fun! We shot at the break water, a classic Victoria landmark and Khyl was definitely the only speed skater on roller blades around! I guess the 10-15 foot drop into the ocean or giant rocks can be a deterrence. I had never done sports photography so there are definite challenges capturing speed and clarity simultaneously, but it’s something I hope to continue to learn about!
Any great tips for me?
Khyl is a crazy awesome athlete and has a big dream to represent Canada in 2014. Help him reach his dream simply by liking him on facebook, sponsoring him, or simply spreading the word. There are so many elite athletes out there who depend on sponsorship to follow their dreams so helping out in any way we can will make the 2014 games so special!
