I admit it, I have a love affair with lace! I’m usually attracted to minimal, menswear style pieces, but dressing up with lace is my weakness! I have many DIYs involving lace planned for the upcoming months, so this sweater is a nice prelude to lace madness!

This summer didn’t really happen for me, I was too busy to enjoy the sunny days and we didn’t plan any summer activities when we had a moment. A few weeks ago I travelled with a few of my best girlfriends to LA for a bachelorette weekend and we all finally had the summer we had missed. We found our bliss biking down the boardwalk, frolicked in the Pacific ocean like children and soaked up every bit of summer we could. This Living Photo of my bestie Tamz will keep me happy when fall descends, but until then…drop your computers and go outside!!

Tomorrow marks the first birthday of my blog! I really can’t imagine my life without this online presence, and it’s brought me so much joy and amazing opportunities. Thank you to everyone who visits, leaves comments, clicks “like,” it really makes my day!

I love taking a casual piece of clothing and making it picture worthy! I wear my denim button up to work with black skinny jeans or a black pencil skirt paired with heels, vintage gold, red lips and an updo!
Many of my co-workers wear jeans everyday, but I like to mix it up and be a little different while still being work appropriate!

As the countdown to my wedding begins, so do the parties! I’ve always been fascinated with other cultures, so I feel extra lucky that my fiancée is from a different background and I get to experience it from the inside! This is my look for the first party, I wore a gorgeous blue sari, pearls and an arm full of bangles. I wore my hair in a sock bun, which has become my go-to style for hot days, or whenever I’m lazy and need to look put together!

Meet the lovely Ricki! If you’ve followed my blog for a while you might remember her from this shoot. My absolute favourite thing to wear in the summer is a beautiful, gauzy white dress with interesting detail. A little white dress can be simultaneously youthful and timeless, begs to be worn barefoot running around in the sun, and looks good on everyone. Another bonus to the summer white is that you can find gorgeous options at every price point as displayed here!
