I have a illness, symptoms include the constant urge to make my own jewelry (as seen here and here!) Please pray for me. To be fair, my DIY illness isn’t exclusive to jewelry, I have a million projects on the go, but they all take much longer. Today I bring you geometric bangles! I love anything modern or simple with an edge. These little guys took around 5 minutes to make, 15 minutes to bake, and maybe an hour or two for the spray paint to dry. Very easy!

1. I rolled out two thin pieces of Fimo, the smoother and thinner the better.
2. Bring both ends together
3. Mold, roll and smooth out the seem, the stronger the join, the less likely it will break later on.
4. I pinched three corners making the circle a triangle then used a small piece of wood and a sculpting tool to create clean angles and flat edges.
5.If the resulting triangle is too small for your hand, lightly knead and stretch the triangle out with your finger tips. The Fimo does have some give, so don’t worry too much about it not fitting.
6. Place the bangles on a cooking sheet and bake in the oven at 275 deg F for 15 minutes. Let cool, Spray paint it with whatever shade you like (I used this), and you’re done!
I do miss the jingle of metal bangles, but until I take some sort of metal shop class I think I’ll stick to these!
Later!

If you too suffer from such an illness, watch this song from Portlandia! I can’t guarantee it will make you feel any better, but at least you can be in on the joke! Cheers!

This is very cool.
Thanks!!
